MACROECONOMIC ANALYSIS SERIES: Monthly Inflation, October 2021

Inflation in September was recorded at 1,60 percent year-on-year, slightly stronger than the previous month with inflation of 1,59 percent. The strengthening of inflation in this period was driven by strengthening the price component regulated by the government, although core inflation and volatile price inflation experienced a slight weakening. Inflation in the price component regulated by the government was recorded at 0,99 percent, stronger than the previous month with inflation of 0,65 percent. On the other hand, inflation in the volatile goods price component decreased from 3,80 percent in August 2021 to 3,51 percent in September 2021. Core inflation also weakened from 1,31 percent in August 2021 to 1,30 percent in September 2021.
