Research Group

Institute for Research on Economics and Society – Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia or better known as LPEM FEB UI facilitates the management of research projects on various topics. Each study group led by a senior researcher has the responsibility to carry out research projects based on their respective specializations.

Research Topic

To facilitate the management of research projects on various topics, LPEM FEB UI has ten study groups:

Natural Resources and Energy Study (NRES)

Focuses on energy sector policies, local government policy planning, etc

Macro, Finance, and Political Economy (MFPE)

Has a strong reputation on the topics of investment climate, regional cooperation and trade, etc

Green Economy and Climate - Research Group (GEC-RG)

This study carries out research in the field of environmental and agricultural sector policy.

Digital Transformation and Behavioral Studies (DTBS)

Support and evaluate policy making in the field of digital ecosystems.

Business Climate and Global Value Chain Research Group (BC-GLOVE)

Combines a traditional economic approach with a business perspective.

Social Engineering and Community Empowerment (SECE)

Carrying out various social mapping studies, action plans and community empowerment programs.

Social Protection and Labor (SPL)

Highlights the importance of worker transformation and skills development.

Public Finance and Development Planning (DEVPFIN)

Focus on analysis of government revenues, fiscal tools for specific industries (taxes and subsidies), etc.

Gender and Economic-Social Inclusion (GENESIS)

Exploring in depth issues related to gender in the fields of economics and social inclusion.

Transport, Real Estate, and Urban Studies (TRUST)

This study group focuses its research on the relationship between urban dynamics, transportation networks, and real estate markets with the aim of advancing knowledge and practical solutions in these areas.
