National Consultation: Implementation of the Use of Ecologically Based Fiscal Transfers (EFT) in South Sulawesi and North Kalimantan Provinces

April 12, 2021

The issue of environmental governance at the regional level is the limited regional fiscal capacity to achieve environmental targets. One alternative policy that can be implemented in order to increase fiscal capacity to meet environmental indicators is ecological-based fiscal transfer (EFT). EFT is an instrument to redistribute government tax revenues to protect sites of ecological importance while providing compensation to local governments in environmental conservation efforts.

LPEM FEB UI collaborates with USAID BIJAK to present "National Consultation: Implementation of the Use of Ecologically Based Fiscal Transfers (EFT) in the Provinces of South Sulawesi and North Kalimantan".

Through this activity, LPEM FEB UI will disseminate the results of studies regarding the implementation of the use of EFT in the provinces of South Sulawesi and North Kalimantan which have potential and have implemented the EFT scheme. This national consultation activity will be held on the following day Thursday, April 15 2021 from 13.00 to 15.30 WIB via the Zoom app.
