Muhammad Halley Yudhistira, Ph.D

Muhammad Halley Yudhistira graduated in 2007 from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEB UI) majoring in Economics (Regional and Urban Economics), with cum laude honors. After that, Yudhistira continued his studies at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) and succeeded in obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Public Economics in 2011. In 2015, Yudhistira succeeded in obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Economics from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), in Tokyo, Japan with Mitsubishi scholarship funds for a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Yudhistira started working as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia in 2007. Then he became a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia and a Research Fellow at LPEM FEBUI since 2015. Yudhistira also worked as Managing Editor Journal of Indonesian Development Economics since 2014. His research interests include applied econometrics, regional and urban economics, theory and empirics in transportation economics.

Yudhistira also received a number of research grants including individual research grants from the Sumitomo Foundation, the East Asian Development Network, as well as from the Australian National University. Apart from that, Yudhistira is also a Visiting Fellow for the Indonesia Project organized by the Australian National University. Apart from research and teaching, Yudhistira has presented his findings at several international and national events, including the EADN Annual Forum, Indonesian Study Group (ANU), Indonesian Regional Science Association (IRSA), Indonesian Economic and Financial Conference (CEFI), National Seminar and Second Workshop about Frontiers in Economics and Teaching Method which was organized by the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia as well as the 3rd Regional Science Association International Conference in Bandung. Yudhistira is also the head of sedekahair.org, a social enterprise that focuses on water supply.
