Khoirunurrofik is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia, and Head of Public Finance Studies and Development Planning. In 1999, he joined LPEM FEBUI after obtaining a bachelor's degree in statistics from FMIPA, IPB. He obtained an International Master's degree in Regional Integration/ from the Asia Europe Institute, University of Malaya, Malaysia – University of Autonoma Madrid, Spain in 2004. He also obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy and Management (MPM) from H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University, United States in 2007. Then he obtained MA and PhD academic degrees in Policy Analysis – Public Economics, from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan in 2011 and 2014. His research interests are Public Finance and Fiscal Decentralization, Urban and Regional Economics with a focus on industrial agglomeration and productivity, and Spatial and Applied Econometrics.
