Darmin Nasution is a former Governor of Bank Indonesia. He received his Master's and Doctoral degrees from Paris-Sorbonne University. After serving as Head of LPEM FEBUI, he was appointed as Assistant Coordinating Minister for Industry and Trade, Production and Distribution, as well as Coordinator for Development Supervision and Administrative Reform.

Some of the positions he has held include Director General of Financial Institutions (2000-2005), Chairman of Financial Institutions (2005-2006), Director General of Taxes (2006-2009), Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (2009-2014), and Governor Bank Indonesia (2010-2015).

A few days after serving as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Darmin Nasution was elected as Chairman of the Indonesian Economists Association for the 2009-2012 period at the 17th ISEI Congress held in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, from July 30 to August 1, 2009. Darmin Nasution is one of the former Governors of Bank Indonesia. He earned his Master's and Doctorate degrees from Paris-Sorbonne University. Several positions which he had entailed, among others are the Director General of Financial Institutions (2000-2005), the Chairman and Financial Institutions (2005-2006), Director General of Taxation (2006-2009), Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia ( 2009-2014), and Governor of Bank Indonesia (2010-2015).

A few days after taking his position as Deputy Governor of Central Bank Indonesia, Darmin Nasution was elected as Chairman of the Indonesian Economists Association in 2009-2012 period in the ISEI 17th Congress held in Evidence, West Sumatra, from July 30th – August 1st, 2009.
