Darmin Nasution, Ph.D.

Darmin Nasution is a former Governor of Bank Indonesia. He received his Master's and Doctoral degrees from Paris-Sorbonne University. After serving as Head of LPEM FEBUI, he was appointed as Assistant Coordinating Minister for Industry and Trade, Production and Distribution, as well as Coordinator for Development Supervision and Administrative Reform.

Some of the positions he has held include Director General of Financial Institutions (2000-2005), Chairman of Financial Institutions (2005-2006), Director General of Taxes (2006-2009), Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (2009-2014), and Governor Bank Indonesia (2010-2015).

A few days after serving as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Darmin Nasution was elected as Chair of the Association of Indonesian Economic Scholars for the 2009-2012 period at the 17th ISEI Congress held in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, from 30 July to 1 August 2009.
