LABOR MARKET BRIEF Volume 4, Number 4, April 2023

In line with efforts to support ILO Convention 189 concerning decent work for domestic workers (PRT), Indonesia is showing its commitment to protection for domestic workers through efforts to accelerate the Domestic Workers Protection Bill (RUU PPRT) which was actually initiated 19 years ago. It is hoped that this effort can become an umbrella regulation that can guarantee protection for domestic workers who are vulnerable informal workers. The April 2023 edition of the Labor Market Brief discusses the profile and protection of domestic workers in Indonesia as follows.
