LABOR MARKET BRIEF: Volume 3, Number 9, September 2022

The increase in fuel prices in early September 2022 caused considerable turmoil in society because it affected spending and triggered an increase in the prices of other goods and services. This decision was taken by the government in connection with the increase in world oil prices and in order to reduce the burden on the state budget for fuel subsidies. However, the government has prepared cushions, especially for poor and vulnerable groups so that their purchasing power can be maintained.
