Labor Market Brief – November 2020 Edition

The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Manpower Circular Letter No. 11/HK.04/X/2020 stipulates that the minimum wage value for 2021 is determined to be the same as the minimum wage value for 2020. This is done by considering the protection and continuity of work for workers/laborers as well as maintaining business continuity. during the COVID-19 pandemic. In determining the minimum wage, the components that are taken into consideration include living standards, productivity and economic growth. However, several provinces in Indonesia have determined that the minimum wage in 2021 will increase because several sectors are considered to be experiencing rapid growth.
