Monthly Inflation, March 2025 : MACROECONOMIC ANALYSIS SERIES

Year-on-year (YoY) inflation in February 2025 was reported at -0,09% or lower compared to annual inflation in February 2024 which reached 2,75%. Furthermore, this month's inflation value was also lower than the previous month, January 2025 which was 0,76%.

The decrease in YoY inflation in February 2025 compared to January 2025 was driven by a decrease in prices in several sectors, namely the energy sector; housing, water, electricity, and other fuels; information, communication, and financial services. The energy sector experienced an increase in YoY deflation of -18,59%, which is a continuation of the previous month's trend of -13,10%. Furthermore, the housing, water, electricity, and other fuels sector experienced an increase in YoY deflation of -12,08%, higher than January 2025 which reached -8,75%. In addition, the information, communication, and financial services sector is still a sector that has experienced deflation since the beginning of 2024, and this month it is at -0,26%.
