Brief Analysis of BI Rate Determination of 7,50% by RDG March 17, 2015

The Bank Indonesia Board of Governors (RDG) meeting on March 17 2015 decided to maintain the BI Rate at 7,50%, with a Deposit Facility interest rate of 5,50% and a Lending Facility at 8,00%. This determination can be said to be a tight monetary policy as BI's effort to achieve the 2015 inflation target of 4 ± 1% this year.
