MACROECONOMIC ANALYSIS: Inflation May 2018

In May 2018, inflation was recorded at 0,21% (mtm) or 1,30% (ytd). This month's inflation was higher than inflation in April 2018 of 0,10% (mtm) and lower than inflation in May 2017 of 0,39% (mtm). This is in accordance with LPEM FEB UI's predictions in the previous analysis. Viewed from the expenditure group, inflation in May 2018 was caused by inflation in all expenditure groups where the highest inflation occurred in the clothing group followed by the ready-made food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups at 0,33% (mtm) and 0,31, respectively. XNUMX% (mtm).
