Inflation Analysis for January 2016

In January 2016, BPS recorded inflation (general) of 4,14% (yoy) or 0,51% (mtm). General inflation (mtm) in January 2016 was the lowest monthly inflation for the last 7 years with the exception of January 2015. Judging from the expenditure group, inflation was caused by an increase in prices, especially in the foodstuffs group, amounting to 2,20% (mtm). With the seasonal pattern reaching its peak in December 2015 and decreasing in January 2016, then General inflation is predicted to be low in February 2016.
