Inflation Analysis for February 2016

March 3, 2016

In February 2016, BPS noted deflation (general) of 0,09% (mtm) or inflation of 4,42% (yoy). This is in accordance with predictions in last month's inflation analysis. Deflation in February 2016 was the beginning of a 3-4 month deflation pattern so that in March 2016 deflation is expected to be driven by the harvest season. Deflation in March is also predicted not to be too large due to the postponement of the rainy season.
